The Comec VPT190 is a heavy-duty, immersion-type pressure testing machine engineered to locate cracks, leaks, and structural defects in cylinder heads and engine blocks. It immerses the head/block in a heated, insulated stainless-steel tank and pressurizes the internal coolant/ water-jacket passages. Any air escaping through cracks or porosity becomes visible as bubbles, making even small leaks easy to detect.
Compared to smaller testers, the VPT190 significantly expands capacity — enabling shops to test very large heads or blocks including heavy-duty or industrial-engine castings. The machine combines a high-capacity tank, fully insulated build, programmable heating, and a rotating cradle to inspect parts thoroughly — ideal for a professional engine-rebuild shop aiming for quality assurance.

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.
A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.
Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
