Comec RP330.M Cylinder Head Resurfacing Machine

The RP330 is a compact, user-friendly resurfacer designed for reconditioning cylinder heads for cars and light trucks. It works on both aluminium and cast-iron heads. Its design — where the head moves while the table remains stationary — helps ensure high surface-finish precision while keeping the machine footprint relatively small.

The main components (table, head, column, base) are made from rigid cast-iron — reducing vibration under cut and improving consistency. Cooling, segmented grinding wheel setup, wheel-dressing system, and fixtures for heads come standard — making it a ready-to-go solution for a rebuilding shop’s cylinder-head workbench.

Key Features

  • Compact but capable resurfacer for heads and light blocks — Ideal when shop space is limited but precision surface finish is required.
  • Cast-iron structural components for rigidity & stability — Table, column, head built in heavy cast iron to minimize vibration and maintain flatness under load.
  • Segmented grinding wheel + coolant & splash-guard system included — Lets you machine both cast-iron and aluminium surfaces with coolant lubrication for better surface finish and tool life.
  • Wheel-dressing system with diamond dresser — Ensures grinding wheel stays true, preserving flatness and finish over multiple jobs.
  • Straightforward clamping & fixture setup, with parallels and clamps included — Makes mounting heads easy and repeatable.
  • Balanced spec sheet — good for small to medium-size shop workloads — Provides a good compromise between capability and affordability for shops doing regular head resurfacing.

Ready to Make the Right Equipment Choice?

Built on Real Engine-Rebuilding Experience

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.

A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.

Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
