Comec BGV260 Work Station for Cylinder Head Valve Guides

The BGV220 is a purpose-built workstation for performing valve-guide replacement and related cylinder-head work. It’s designed to make valve-guide removal and installation fast, precise, and repeatable for a wide range of cylinder heads — from passenger-car heads to heavier and bulkier diesel or industrial heads. Because of its robust, stable cradle and hydraulic/mechanical press, BGV220 helps reduce the risk of damaging the head, while making setup and alignment easier.

The rotating cradle, generous travel range, and built-in pressure measurement system provide the control and flexibility needed for shops doing frequent valve-guide service — making it a smart “head-service station” for rebuilders or performance shops.

Key Features

  • Hydraulic/Mechanical Press with Measured Force — The upper hydraulic cylinder applies uniform pressure for guide removal/installation, while a lower load cell measures working pressure. Pressure is adjustable up to 5 tons (≈ 180 bar) and shown on a gauge — giving full control over guide insertion/extraction.
  • Swivel Cradle for Head Positioning — The head support cradle can be rotated ± 50° using a side handwheel, making it easier to access guides at awkward angles and to align for installation/removal.
  • Generous Work Capacity — Supports cylinder heads up to 800 mm in length and heads/blocks up to 300 mm in width — enabling service on a broad range of engines from small automotive to larger industrial/diesel heads.
  • Built-in LED Lighting and Tool Storage — Integrated LED spotlights illuminate the work area to improve visibility during precise guide work; a slide-out tool drawer and supplied wrench set make the workstation ready-to-go out of the crate.
  • Compact & Shop-Friendly Dimensions — Footprint and size (approx. 1100 × 900 × 1700 mm) and machine weight ~410 kg give a balance: capable enough for heavy heads but manageable even in medium-sized shops.
  • Standard Equipment Included — Hydraulic unit, pressure-reading system, adjustable cradle supports, guide-press pins, tool set, LED lights, and documentation — providing a full solution for head valve-guide service.

Ready to Make the Right Equipment Choice?

Built on Real Engine-Rebuilding Experience

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.

A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.

Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
