ARMEX Accustrip System

The ARMEX Accustrip System is a soluble-media blasting / cleaning system engineered for safe, effective removal of paint, grease, adhesives, coatings, rust, and contaminants from metal parts, castings, housings, and other surfaces — without damaging the underlying metal. The system uses ARMEX’s baking-soda based blast media, which is non-toxic, non-sparking, and water-soluble, making the process far safer and more environmentally friendly than traditional abrasive blasting or chemical stripping.

Because it’s a used unit, the Accustrip System offers an affordable way to integrate a high-quality, industrial-grade surface-cleaning setup into a shop — ideal for machine shops, engine rebuilders, remanufacturers, or restoration facilities that need to strip paint/coatings, clean parts, or prep surfaces before machining or painting.

Key Features

  • Gentle but Effective Soluble-Media Cleaning — Uses ARMEX media, which is soda-based and water-soluble, allowing removal of coatings, oils, grease, and light corrosion without damaging metal surfaces (safe even for soft substrates when used properly).
  • Versatile Surface Preparation Capabilities — Ideal for paint and coating removal, degreasing, light corrosion removal, cleaning castings, housings — useful for prepping parts before machining, painting, or reassembly.
  • Reduced Waste & Improved Safety Compared to Traditional Blasting — Wet/soluble media generates less airborne dust, uses a contained blast media that dissolves, reducing hazardous waste — safer for operators and the environment than dry abrasive blasting or solvents.
  • Adjustable Blast Pressure & Media Flow — Blast pressures typically run 30–90 psi, giving you control over cleaning aggressiveness depending on part material and cleaning needs.
  • Portable / Modular System Design — Many Accustrip System models (like 11SX, 12SX, 13SX) offer a range of vessel sizes and media capacities — making it easier to choose a system that fits your shop’s size, part load, and workflow.
  • Effective for Delicate and Heavy Parts Alike — Because the media is gentle and non-sparking, it works for both delicate parts (e.g. cast housings, aluminum components) and heavier cast/steel components without high-impact abrasion.

Ready to Make the Right Equipment Choice?

Built on Real Engine-Rebuilding Experience

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.

A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.

Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
