Comec RSM240 Rim Straightening Machine and Lathe

The RSM240 is a dedicated rim-repair workstation built to straighten and recondition steel, aluminum, and alloy wheels (rims) in the 13″–24″ diameter range. It combines a hydraulic straightening press and a built-in lathe unit so you can both correct rim deformation (bends, warps, dents) and then machine or smooth out damage on rim edges — giving a full “rim restore” capability in one machine.

Because of its dual functionality, the RSM240 is ideal for tire shops, wheel repair shops, machine shops, or garages that want to offer rim-repair services in-house — avoiding expensive replacements and giving customers a lower-cost, fast-turnaround option.

Key Features

  • Wide rim diameter coverage — Handles rims from 13″ up to 24″ — covering most passenger-car, light-truck, and many alloy-wheel sizes.
  • Hydraulic straightening press + adjustable punch force — Hydraulic cylinder (with adjustable pressure via manometer) pushes bent or damaged sections back to shape using a set of shaped punches tailored to different rim profiles; maximum punch force up to 3950 kg (≈ 8708 lb).
  • Built-in lathe for edge repair & finishing — After straightening, the lathe section allows smoothing/re-machining of rim edges: great for removing dents, nicks or weld repairs.
  • Compact & shop-friendly footprint — The machine sits on a ~1100 × 860 × 1250 mm (≈ 43″ × 34″ × 49″) frame and weighs ~350 kg (772 lb), making it reasonably sized for many shops and easy to integrate into a repair bay.
  • Standard accessories included — Wheel-centering rings, assorted tip holders (angular, flat, square, chisel, extended), rim-cutting tool, wrench set — ready to run with many rim profiles built-in.
  • Adjustable lathe/spindle speed and optional accessories — Spindle rotates at 80 rpm standard; optional speed regulator or dial-gauge alignment kit available if needed for precise rim finishing.

Ready to Make the Right Equipment Choice?

Built on Real Engine-Rebuilding Experience

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.

A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.

Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
