The Comec RP850 is a robust yet compact resurfacing machine designed for machining flat surfaces on cylinder heads and engine blocks — suitable for both cast-iron and aluminum. It uses a CBN/PCD milling plate (or grinding wheel — depending tooling) and offers adjustable spindle and table speeds, giving flexibility for a variety of head/block resurfacing jobs.
With its surprisingly wide work capacity despite modest footprint, the RP850 is ideal for small- to mid-size shops, performance rebuilders, or anyone doing regular head or block resurfacing without the space or budget for larger machines.

Decades before today’s engine shops trusted our equipment, Tony was already deep in the craft — rebuilding motors, machining blocks, and pushing for better precision.
A local newspaper once featured him as a standout young machinist, noting his drive, attention to detail, and obsession with doing things the right way. That same passion would eventually shape our company’s values.
Today, that commitment lives on in every machine we sell, every customer we support, and every shop we help succeed.
